IT’S THE 20TH CENTURY BOYS POST!

Yep! Sometime back in the days, the Local Production crew took a trip down to the city to catch this awesome movie! It got kids*yes!*, laser gun*yes!yes!*, rock ‘n’ roll*yes!yes!yes!* and a freaking awesome robot!*pew pew!* *and in case you don’t know or haven’t noticed…pew pew is the new current word!*

Come on! What's there not to love about this? Everyone needs a giant robot in their life!*pew pew!*

Before i carry on any further, here’s a song from the soundtrack of the movie:

20th Century Boy by T-Rex *good old rockin and rollin to get you into the mood!*

Now that we have the SFX! Let’s move on to the story and GFX!

Basically, the movie revolves around this group of grown up adults who start to notice about strange events happening in the world that coincides with events that they thought up of as kids.*you know… the usual rough sketches and exciting stories you come up with and draw in your exercise books when you were kids! i still draw them now too =X*

The story basically sees apocalyptic events happening and it’s up to the gang of kids who have grown up to come together and find out what’s going on and stop them. Add a little fight here, nerds there, rock concert here, a pinch of laser gun there, an awesome gigantic robot in the end and you’ve got one helluva movie!*no words can describe what we went through except pew pew! oh and maybe OMFGWTFBBQ! while we were in the theater!*

The symbol that reigned prevalence throughout the entire show!*the sign of friendship be it good or bad >.<*

To cut things short, the crew had a great time during and after the show. We are definitely heading back for part 2 of the trilogy when it releases in 2009!*time for more madness eh guys?*

Firstly, i would like to apologise to everyone that keeps looking back at this space and getting nothing but old stuff! *i’m sorry ok! so stop asking me about it anymore! here i am to update it now!*

First things first! Why were we gone for almost a month? Err… that’s cos yours truly moi~ had assignments, sleep, exams, work, sleep, chores, tv, sleep, food, drink, sleep and life to attend to!*and did i mention i needed sleep?*

And next we follow up this post with another question… What?

WHAT DO WE TALK ABOUT THIS TIME ROUND? The answer is simple!

THE FREAKING FRIED DUMPLINGS THAT ALMOST KILLED THE CREW!

Ok let’s recap a little on what happened on that adventurous day*queue dreamy recap sound effect!*

… and there they went on a fine day exploring town which… blah blah blah blah blah… and the crew found themselves at this little place that sold fried dumpling noodle… blah blah… and they lived happily ever after!… OH FUCKING NO WAY THEY DIDN’T!*pardon the language but it really boils my blood to recap that moment again*

Yes we were there… We came, we saw, we ordered, we ate and we got freaking pissed!

Mr Up-to-no-good feeling mighty fine before we started eating!*you should see his face after the meal, the word ugly couldn't even come close to it!*

Ok here’s the full details!*imma keep this short cos i might get too upset to finish this post!*

Food -

No Respects doesn’t cut it here! We decided to give it a new rating = CHUI!*ok there’s good, better and best…then there’s AWESOME! take AWESOME! and invert the meaning and u get CHUI!*

We decided to give this place CHUI! x 3 Why so? Imagine Wontons with crappy fillings, sauce that were just plain soy sauce, char siu that were tough and untasty, noodles that taste like rubber bands and had bits of it uncooked and did i mention the plate still had some bits of flour on it?! WHAT THE FUCKING HELL IS GOING ON HERE?! I THOUGHT THIS PLACE HAD A NAME FOR ITSELF?!

SERVICE -

Recap: We placed 4 orders, 3 came first… lady kept asking us for the money first… no utensils were available so we asked for it and querried about the other order. Lady comes back with no utensils and told us to wait for the order…asked for money again! We ordered drinks… and she goes get them for us…and so far still no utensils! Comes back with drinks and asks for money AGAIN!*where’s the utensils? and where’s the other order?* Lady goes back in to grab the other order and comes back and asks for the money AGAIN! WHERE’S THE FUCKING UTENSILS? AND CODIMENTS?!*please la, you think people can eat and run after they finish the CHUIx3 food? run also run to toilet vomit or diarrhea from the food only!*

Price -

Usually the crew won’t even bother about pricing of food! We know that great food deserves great pricing! A standard meal here will costs you 6 dollars! That’s 4.50 for the crapola noodles and 1.50 for the drinks! Maybe it was because of the crappy service and food that made us feel that $6 was hell no way worth the meal!*but really lor, i can still find $2 fried wonton noodles that are way way way better than this! we were so pissed about the noodles that we were even unhappy about the 20-30cents higher pricing for drinks that day… something that the crew won’t even bat an eyelid over usually!*

Moral of the Story -

Just because a place has newspaper cuttings, pictures of celebrities and recommendations doesn’t mean they serve great food. It just means that they have the right to screw you many times over! I’m not sure about other places… we give Parklane Fried Wonton Noodles 3 words= Overated, Overpriced, Overhyped! BTW I am still getting the bad taste out of my mouth after 1 month! If you had a thousand years to live, i wouldn’t even recommend you going for a try for these noodles! Wouldn’t want you having to live with bad taste in your mouth for the next thousand years!

*and jerome… you still owe us big time for suggesting this place! i don’t think you can ever ever make up for it in this lifetime!*

Recap on what happened on Deepavali on the 27th Oct yea? The crew decided to take an adventure in town with various updates while we were on the go! And if memory serves us right… the day started like this…*strange recap sound effect with swirly transition back to the day of adventure…*

What a way to start a day! Everything was pointing down..the trees, the sky and even the lamposts were all bendy and such...*and who can we blame?(looks up)*

So as the adventure goes, we got stuck inside The Cathay and decided to head down for some chow!

Chowji(Super) Wudi(Invincible) Kungfu Milk Tea that is... with a side of Taiwanese Mee Sua!*hey! we got kungfu and meesua all in 1 meal, what more could we ask for yea?*

After the meal, the weather turned for the better and it stopped pouring cats and dogs thus we decided to move out!*no cats and dogs but still got kittens and puppies la… but alas…we cannot let our viewers down so as they say in the movies… the show must go on!*

It's time to set off deeper into our town adventure!*we stopped by hsbc to ro...err withdraw money for our trip for the day too!*

Where shall we go? Plaza Sing? Err..No thanks! Next!*so long never come town die die also don't wanna step in... go figure out by yourself why!*

Woo...Istana! Let's pretend we're tourists and head in!*wah! president's office ah? take pichure! take pichure!*

Hmm... seems like we're abit lost here! How? Carry on Orchard or Ko-ek Road?*wei! it's kook road la! we go orchard... cos only kukus go the other way!*

After this we reached our 2nd mystery destination – The Heeren for some musical fun as posted that day!*don’t ask me how fun and how to have fun… just walk walk listen fun, walk walk listen fun…blah blah blah fun… etc etc etc fun… (fill in your own) fun! hor fun, mee fun, everyone have fun!*

And onwards we marched...*eh wait for me la! i'm tired and thirsty! T-T now i remember why i don't like town!*

After an endless amount of walking…*yes endless!* We finally got to our destination at Far East Plaza!*i swear i was almost in tears after so much walking T-T now i really remember why i hate walking around town!*

Nothing special here ma! Shops?*other place also have!* Escalators?*other place also have!* People?*wah! you really want me to answer that?*

And why the adventure towards the “Far East” in the first place? It seems that certain members of the crew*ahem… i shall not name which two! what a “lame” “banana”!* wanted to shop at a certain “Haru” which we found out from the looks of it sells more dresses than pants and t-shirts! But luckily, they actually managed to find something to buy from another shop!*you guys are lucky that you bought something after making me walk so far! if not imma gonna go DJ Bruce Lee on ya and ask you to Shut Up B**ch! nice shirts btw… classic!*

The Crew venting their fustrations on a witch who was preparing for Halloween! *yes... we decapitated her and dug her nose after that! we are one sick group of individuals! you would too if you had to walk the whole day!*

And thus ended the adventure in town on deepavali… what? Where’s the sucky dinner we had that spoilt our day you say? No worries… i reserved the next blog post just for that &%^@()!^%)!^%&*@#^%&@)(&% dinner that we had! Yes… it’s deserves it’s own post to prove how bad it is! IT’S THAT F**KING BAD! So stay tune for it!

What started out as a day to uplift our spirits and cheer us up turned gloomy when the sky started to rain like there’s no tomorrow!*yea you up there… go fudge yourself!*

And to make things worse, the day ended with a bad meal!*i’ll elaborate on this during my next post, expect a new low in food ratings on Local Production!*

And just when you thought that the worst was over, this Spider became ill!*suxor! i’m so sick i could act in an episode of “The Sick Spider Cometh!” here a puke, there a puke, everywhere a puke puke!*

The adventure starts on this gloomy day at a place we least expected! Where in the fudge are the crew located? Here’s a little clue!

"Firefist" Jimmy starting to get a tad chubby round edges!*don't camp at home play WoW whole day la! come out and skate with us!*

ZOMGZ! Look at all the glow! God is giving me a dollar!*respect k? see "someone up to no good" offering him a can of green tea in respect!*

After the quick supper, we all decided to head back for an early rest. Which brings us to the next story!

A long time ago, i used to own loads of children’s television character apparel! Somehow i stopped wearing them gradually over the years as people started to comment on how an “older” person shouldn’t be wearing them. I’ve converted most of them to be home and sleeping wear now but have realised recently that they are still good clothing for everyday wear! Perhaps i should go back to wearing them occasionally just for the fun of it!

So to everyone who has told me that i should stop wearing these… GO FUDGE YOURSELVES!*or perhaps in a more polite way… GO FU*K YOURSELF AS****ES! consider yourselves lucky that i censor the words for the younger audience that visits the site*

And remember kids... You Don't Mess With The Big Bird!*he eats baddies for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper! RESPECT!*
